Preparing a website so AI assistants read and cite it correctly
The content structure and structured data that let AI assistants and search engines understand who your business is, what it does, where it operates, and which answers are reliable — plus the limits you should know.
Zura Labs & Business Hub Co., Ltd.
AI assistants cite pages that answer one question completely, expose facts as liftable lines, and state clearly who the business is. Provide a short answer paragraph at the top, a facts table, headings written as real questions, structured data such as Organization, LocalBusiness and FAQPage, a content review date, and links to the authorities you rely on. Nobody can guarantee that a given model will cite you; what you control is making the information accurate and easy to lift.

- Page shape that gets cited
- One page per question, opening with a 50–80 word answer, then steps and facts
- Core structured data
- Organization, LocalBusiness, Service, FAQPage, HowTo and BreadcrumbList
- Business data consistency
- Name, address, phone and hours must match across pages and external profiles
- Bot access
- Allow the bots you want in robots rules, and serve the main content in server-rendered HTML
- Trust signals
- Review date, the person or team responsible, and links to verifiable official sources
- What cannot be promised
- Search rankings, or being cited by any particular AI model
How this works in practice
- 01
Split customer questions into one page each
Collect the real questions from chats and calls, then build a page that fully answers each one instead of stacking ten questions into one unstructured page.
- 02
Open with the answer, not marketing
The first paragraph must stand alone as the answer without needing context, because that is the block models tend to lift.
- 03
Expose facts as short liftable lines
Use a table or key–value list: the authority involved, required documents, timeframes as ranges. Do not bury facts inside long paragraphs.
- 04
Add structured data that matches the visible page
JSON-LD must mirror what users actually see. Marking up FAQs that are not on the page, or reviews that do not exist, is a risk and can cost trust.
- 05
Add machine-readable entry points
Keep the sitemap current, publish an answers hub for bots, and where it fits the business, expose public JSON with an updated date.
Reasons this gets delayed or rejected
Main content rendered only by scripts
If key text is absent from the server-rendered HTML, some crawlers simply never see it.
Inconsistent business details
Addresses or phone numbers that disagree across pages make systems unsure which is correct, so they avoid citing you.
Spinning near-duplicate pages for volume
Pages that differ only by a province name add nothing and risk being treated as duplicates.
Answers to the questions we hear most
Can we pay to be cited by AI?
There is no channel that guarantees a model cites a specific site. The only controllable path is accurate, clear, verifiable information.
Should we block AI bots?
It depends on strategy. If you want to be found through AI assistants, allow access to public pages and block only admin or login-gated areas.
Do we need two languages?
If your customers include both Thai and international buyers, publish separate, fully written pages in each language and link them with correct language tags.
How do we measure it?
Track referrals from AI assistants and search, how many pages are indexed, and the decline in questions customers ask because the site already answers them.
